Vidal and Brooke Cantu are
Montana
USATF State 10KM Road Race Champions!
David
Vidal and Brooke Cantu, both of Kalispell
won the USATF State 10 KM Road Race Championships
with their victories at the Whitefish
Lake Run held on June 29th in Whitefish,
Montana.
Vidal,
who competes for Stanford University during
the collegiate school year, was back for
the summer which included racing against
his former high school teammate, Brett
Winegar, who finished second in the race.
David's time of 32:19 was a new record
for the Whitefish Lake Run, which was
designated as this years Montana USATF
State Road 10KM Championship, as the race
used a new course this year.
The
women's champion, Brooke Cantu won her
race with a time 40:33 over the hilly
and challenging 6.2 mile course. Brooke
was the Montana USATF Open Cross Country
Champion last fall in Bozeman.
